Back to School Crafts- Decorated Clipboard

July 17, 2014 by Guest 10 Comments

Encourage Early Learning with a Personalized Clipboard

Who’s ready for Back to School? It’s fine to admit that Summer needs to last awhile longer, but if you are like me you will still want to prepare for Fall. I love doing projects and Back to School Crafts. I’ve decided to share a quick and easy decorated clipboard that even preschoolers can do! This project is also inexpensive since I bought the clipboards at Walmart for under $2. We own lots of  stickers and craft materials, so no expense there. We almost always have Mod Podge on hand for one craft project or another as well.

Encourage a child's love of learning with a simple and easy clipboard project from Satisfaction Through Christ blog

Basic Supplies:

(I’ve included affiliate links to Amazon to help you find similar products.)

Plain Clipboard

Stickers, Scrapbook Paper, Paint, or Duct Tape

Mod Podge Matte Finish

Paint Brush

Grab your supplies and your child. If you are like us you have a huge stockpile of stickers just waiting to be used! Ask your child to pick which stickers he would like and help peel them if needed. Our stickers are somewhat old, leftover from various birthdays. I had purchased most of them from the dollar store. Start sticking your stickers onto your clipboard as much as you’d like.

Let a child add stickers galore to a blank clipboard to get them excited about learning and homeschool! | Satisfaction Through Christ blog

Once your child is done decorating the clipboard smooth all the stickers down. Next cover them with Mod Podge to keep them from peeling off. I just used my finger as we went since some stickers weren’t sticky anymore. I will go back over the entire clipboard with Mod Podge once it has been dry for an hour. Then your clipboard is all ready to use.

    This is a cute idea.
I suppose this cute be adapted, with different stickers, for the older student.

      Michelle,
Actually our older students could use scientific measure, parts of speech, or math equation stickers often found at the Dollar Tree right about now. Hope that gives you a way to modify for older student.

Yes, it’s so much more fun to have “your own” school stuff like the big kids.

How fun – they can make it their own and be proud of their creation. I love it!
