Exceedingly and Abundantly

Pin It Today I witnessed and felt the Lord's tangible love through a group of people
I'm so honored to call my family!

Today we held a garage sale fundraiser to help bring baby boy home. I could have never imagined how the Lord would bless us today.

He did exceedingly and abundantly more than I could have ever asked or thought!

Last night at 8:30pm I watched as nearly 40 plus friends of mine spent their Friday evening filling a school gymnasium full of THEIR things!

I watched as they transformed piles of "stuff" into a garage sale to raise money for a little boy they have yet to meet!

I watched as they stayed until 11pm and beat me back to the school at 6:30am this morning!

I watched as they selflessly spent the majority of their Saturday bargaining over whether an item would be seven dollars or eight....those yard sale pros don't play! :)

I watched as they sorted "keep" from "donate", filled a truck full for another sale in March, hauled it to the storage unit....and paid for it.

I watched as they tore down, cleaned up, hauled off, and locked up from a hard days work.

I cried as I sat down at home and counted all the money that we made in one days hard work...

$2,738

I cried as I searched for the words to thank my heavenly Father for the blessing and faithfulness He's shown our family as we've said yes to a second adoption in a year.

I cried because I knew I could never properly thank all of the people that donated, baked, bought, and worked so hard for us, for Him!

I cry now in awe of how gracious, how faithful, and how awesome my Lord is to me. I don't deserve a bit of this but I'm honored to be called...

Called to ministry....
Called to an awesome, God fearing, hands and feet of Jesus type church...
Called to adoption...

For His honor, His glory, and His will....

Thank you!

  2. Wow! Fantastic! I'm praising God with you, not just for the financial provision (but yes, for that, too!!!), but for incredible friends to walk this journey with you and lift up your arms on the way. What a huge blessing!

Christie, someday I really want to meet you in real life. Since you're only one state away, I think we can (should!) make it happen. ;-)
